I ordered my n3DS from Amazon from October 2015 and just received it recently due to a few inconveniences on my end, and it was at 9.5

This post is pretty much useless, but I want to post it anyway

Though, it would be a gamble. If you're lucky, it'll come under 11.0, if you're lucky, it'll come full stock.
Best route to take is buy at your local game store, and return it if it's over 10.7.

Honestly, your best bet is to buy it at a physical (i.e. "brick and mortar") store.

Assuming you're Stateside, the cut-off point for non-11.0 n3DS-XL units seems to be serial #QW4071* & #QW1163* and below. So QW4070 or QW1150 would be OK, but not QW4074 or QW1169.

As long as it's on 10.7 or lower, using Plailect's guide is rather simple.

A friend of mine just bought one off of Amazon and IIRC he said that it was on 10.7.
If it wasn't on 10.7, it was definitely on something exploitable.

My N3DS XL came in the mail today, ordered it last Friday iirc. Firmware version was 11.0.0-33. I could have just been unlucky I guess but good luck if you go through amazon.

There are no N3DS' left in my area. The only one I found was at Walmart with serial QW1165. Should I gamble with Amazon? There's also a refurbished LoZ edition, but I'm not sure if they updated it or not. They said that they wiped it and di whatever to it.

Do not order from Amazon. Their entire stock is likely 11.0 as of August 7. I'm not sure if there is still time, but I ordered one from Jet.com last Friday. It was fulfilled by Toys R Us and just arrived today as a #QW1161 on 10.7 fw.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it

@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it

Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.

@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
