Hardware If I replace my Wii DVD Drive will I need to re-mod my wii ?

Hi, noob here,

My DVD Drive in my Wii is not reading disks so I ordered a new drive. Will I need to re mod my wii with homebrew and all the other stuff after I install the new drive? My wii is S#LU6 so I ordered a D2E drive.

No, you don't need to do something, only if also the new drive doesn't work.

I think that buying an hard drive and using a usb loader is cheaper in the long run. Easier too.

Yes I am running USB Loader GX but just wanted a working dvd drive too
