i got banned for using a save editor on emunand cus of the trashy crane game

it was very clear that they stopped caring about their customers when they did this and i was right. just look at the damned overprice dock and how they are shorting devices for using third party accessories.
even apple will not brick your iphone if you buy a third party casing but nintendo will. hell, it's even written in the warranty.

As have I and I have not been banned. That does immediately mean every single other user on the 3DS was safe and it is very clear, there were some who were not as fortunate as us. So I repeat, do not use your own personal experiences as evidence. This is the second time I have to tell you this.

I remember 4 different banwaves on the 3DS. Might be more that I either forgot about or wasn't around for. There were a few before the Sun and Moon banwaves, and there was at least one that took place shortly after. Plenty of people who never took Sun and Moon online or had even played Sun and Moon got banned. To this day we are still unsure what exactly triggered these bans.

I absolutely can prove what I am saying. Nintendo actually gives consoles specific headers now for eShop games, making it much harder to pirate them compared to previous consoles. Cartridges have unique headers which are now game specific, which is an improvement to copy protection on their end. People have already been banned for invalid CDN requests. Individual cartridges are also being banned.

At this point, we don't know for sure what exactly will get you banned and what is safe. Again, the safe assumption is to assume for now that any form of CFW/piracy on the Switch can trigger a ban at any time. I certainly wouldn't put CFW on my main console after spending a few hundred dollars on the eShop. I'm not trying to get my NNID banned.

Go ahead and believe what you want... just don't come crying here for help when you get banned because you were impatient and didn't heed the warnings given to you.
