If I only care about homebrew, should I update to 6.0 from 5.1?

Don't plan on doing anything beyond homebrew, emulators, etc, so should I update? If so, what steps should I take? I've got a 5.1 backup, but that's about it.

You bought a switch to only load Homebrew?

Perhaps he meant that he isn't interested in backups and nsp’s, all that sort of stuff?

Exactly. Maybe I'll be interested in those later as progress.......progresses, but for now, I'm mainly interested in homebrew and whatnot alongside the Switch games I bought and those I'll buy in the future.

As far as I know, homebrew .NSP files do not work on any CFW outside of SX OS and RajNX when it comes to firmware 6.0. It seems as though some homebrew do work on 6.0 however there is always the possibility that not all homebrew will work on 6.0 since they were designed for 5.1 in mind. Also if you only care about homebrew, why update in the first place? Firmware 6.0 doesn't add anything meaningful in the first place.
