Hacking If I install 4.1, Will anything happen?

Ok, so I am currently on a hacked version of 4.0. I have the homebrew channell, backup launcher, etc. But I have just purchased Wii Sports Resort, and I want to play, but it asks me to update. I would update trhough the waninkinko updater, but i'm having quite a few erros gettnig my SD cards to work. So is it safe to update by normal means? Will I lose anything?

youll lose your trucha'd ios's if you update thru nintendo.
use waninkoko's updater instead.
then install preloader to disable disc update checks

Everytime I try and install the wankinko updater wit the wad manager 2.1, it gives me the (ret error -1) Any help with that?

waninkoko's updater is an online method.
maybe your sd card isnt compatible

Wanin's 4.1 Update isn't a wad ... you just run it as an app through the homebrew channel.

i feel stupid. it's a dol file right? so i put that in the apps section?

Yep just make a folder under apps, put it in there. Make sure it's called boot.dol, then when you run the HBC it will show up.

You'll want reinstall Preloader right after that as the 4.1 update will wipe it out. Don't reboot the Wii before installing preloader again, just in case. So install the update, when it goes back to the HBC, install preloader.

You need to install Preloader and turn on 'block disc updates' like xzxero said.

damn, its still not workin. i have the ini in the right place, where its supposed 2 be, in the root of my SD card, and it still says file not located. what's going on here?
