You should have a gamepad for it. I think you need the second screen for entering the settings menu. I could never use the settings menu with the wiimote, it directs me to use the gamepad.

What are you guys talking about? You CAN'T synch a gamepad with a console. The gamepad that comes with the console is manufactured to be permamently linked to it. If you breake it, you can't get a replacement yourselfe. You need to send the whole console to Nintendo so THEY can synch another one to it...
Correct me if I'm wrong though.
But I'm pretty positive that if there are no hardmod/homebrew ways to do this, you can't do it yourself in a legit way...
Make a double research before you buy or you'll get screwed pretty bad :/

SRSLY?! Then why is the tech support bi*ching about it D:
Wow. Thanks for the cold bucket. Maybe I WILL get myself a WiiU now since I saw plenty of cheap ones without the gamepad, and used solo gamepads as well...

I found a deal on a wii u by itself, i was wondering should i get it or get on with a gamepad?

The Wii U gamepad is region-locked (for updates only for some reason) and works fine for games and everything until you do a system update. a system update requires a gamepad of the same region as the Wii U to update for some reason.

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware

I'd like to see a DS emulator that allows casting top screen to TV then use bottom for the touch screen stuff

I used a vertical touch 22" monitor for playing some 3DS games through Citra.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Can't be that far off from it not like ds requires super hardware
  • HiradeGirl @ HiradeGirl:
@K3Nv2 I did that using Citra for 3DS games. Bottom screen was my smartphone. Until I got the touch screen.

Any TV with your PC connected with Citra and any smartphone to use as a screen using a free play store app.
