Well i just sold my r4 to someone to get a acekard, and now my saves won't work!
the acekard seems to make its own save file plus a .cc file.
how do i convert it to the acekard 2's save type?

    your R4 save is a filename.sav, the acekard2 save is a filename.nds.sav

also, even when i do rename the save it just seems to wipe out all my data on the save to nothing. basicly it creates a new save and kills the one that i rename to be the save file for the game

The AK2's saves are case sensitive.

So if your saves look like filename.nds.SAV (uppercase), then they won't work. The file extension has to be lowercase; ex: filename.nds.sav

Nevermind guys, thanks for the help, it all had to do with vista renaming everything with uppercase .SAV or the r4 before doing it

My turn now!! Same situation. Just went to an AceKard from an R4. Have many months of SAV data that I can't seem to get the AceKard to recognize.
Are you both saying to move the .nds.sav file that the AceKard created to a TEMP folder and then move my R4 .SAV file to the SD Card and rename it in Lower Case? Or can I just simply blow away the .nds.sav files that the AceKard created and THEN move my R4 .sav file over? (after having renamed it to .nds.sav?)

Any help is really appreciated! I too hate having to start all my games over from scratch!

No. Same as the other guys. I went from an R4 card, with many many .SAV files, to a new AceKard2. Which creates its own .nds.sav files.

It is the same thing. "Went TO an AceKard FROM an R4" or "Went FROM an R4 card TO an AceKard" Sorry if my Semantics isn't up to par for you. Bottom line, I am now on an AceKard and trying to decipher what the other guys did to get their SAV files working on the AceKard.

Have you read this whole thread at all? You need to rename the save files because they are case sensitive.

I definitely had read the entire thread. What I had been doing was moving my old .SAV files onto the SD card and THEN renaming it to .nds.sav. That wasn't working.
I just tried renaming them all on the Hard Drive instead and THEN moved them to the SD Card. THEN it works.

Thank you all very very very much.

Hey so i just got my acekard 2i!
and i've been trying to get the save files from my R4
but the SAV files are just the game name no . anything
and my acekard makes save files as .nds
and i tried renaming the files .nds.sav
    all lower case
    i tired .nds
but it still creates another save file
    what should i do?
