Well Okay I'm a noob at all the wii hacking/modding stuff... I've been using my R4 and ds for a while. Also I bought a Wii last June and haven't been doing much to it. I wanted to mod it but i cant solder for shit, but i really want to mod my wii. What can I do??? I wanted my wii to be in use and to make that $250 become worth it. I can take my wii apart though. I also read about the wii clip but it contains soldering too. Unless like theres a solderless chip O_O

Wait for a boot loader to come from the TP hack, all you need for that is a $10 SD adapter.

instead of cracking your wii open and installing anything...i'd wait until a softmod comes out (which shouldn't take too long, have you seen all the advancements in the wii homebrew scene lately?!)

and there are only like 4 games worth pirating, anyways [IMG]

JPH is correct. I wish I knew about it before I had my own wii modded, then I wouldn't have had a WiiKey installed.

Like he said theres only really four games worth pirating, them being:
    SMG
    Zelda: TP
    DSBX/SSBB
    MP-3

To be honest, I'd say six, including Super Paper Mario and My Sims. But some people may disagree... Just wait until Homebrew release something instead of risking it by opening your wii with no console modding experience which could potentially break your wii.

Just practice soldering on an old circuit board. It's really not that difficult after some hours of practice. I had no soldering experience before I successfully soldered a Wiikey into my Wii on my first try.

DS Flashcards can be considered a softmod. It's where it doesn't void its warranty meaning you do not solder or open it up.

Yeah there's loads of softmods, has been for months.

That's why everyone's telling you to wait for them...
