alright i wasnt really.
But i did lay my first carpet ever, Pretty easy to do, it was the messuring that let me down to be honest. i must of lost my mind when i messured it and forgot how to count because there was a Meter square missing lmao. So i had to pay for another piece.

Dont think i did a bad job either. (minus the messuring flaws of course)
I even had to refit some of the flooring cos some rogue builder hadnt nailed them into the floor beams properly.

But i thought "wouldnt it make a nicer present for my daughter" Finishing her room rather then getting crap loads of stuff that she'd have no where to go to play with them.

So her room getting done is part of her present haha.

gotta find her some nice curtains (cos the blind thing i got is to small {makes mental note to messure things properly})

So i was wondering what are you guys getting loved ones for christmas?

any one DIY'ing it ?

I don't Jesus laid carpets...I think you're looking for the word carpet layer? Maybe, I dunno, but good job, it's difficult to do on your own!

Jesus was a carpenter, not a carpeter! A carpenter is the same as a joiner, i.e. makes stuff from wood.

"I had to refit some of the flooring" that counts as doing stuff with wood.

lol

yeah it was hard lining it up properly, and my stanley knife sucks so much i would of been better off using child safety sissors haha.

Well, while you may not have been doing carpentry,
it seems you've learned the carpenter's first rule:

Measure twice; cut once.
