As the title says, I want Homebrew, but don't know where to start, I've looked for some tutorials for 5.5.1 but it doesn't seem very "noob" friendly and as of now, that's what I am. So I kinda need a top to bottom rundown of what to do, including the whole "router setup" thing. Anyone think they can help?

You don't need to do anything with hosting if you dont want to.

Below is a playlist of Wii U hacking tutorials. All are complete, meaning every step is shown on screen (besides stuff you should have ready before starting) and noob friendly. For 5.5.0-5.5.1
    Go here

All links and downloads in the descriptions.

It's probably the port you are using. The port van apache is port 80,but programs like Skype are also using that port. You should change that port number in one of the files. (https://awaissoftnews.wordpress.com/2014/01/09/how-to-change-the-apache-port-in-xampp/)

Or you can use a website like loadiine.ovh. If find that more reliable than self hosting.
