Try Rosetta Stone. The book I read that helped me a lot is called, "Japanese Verbs & Essentials of Grammar" Second Edition.

There is also a DS game that can help you to a certain point called, "My Japanese Coach".

    Uh 3 quick questions

    1. What does the indent mean in japanese
    2. when do you use Katakana and when Hiragana ( Because Harvest moon use Both )
    3. how to separate words in the japanese language ( sometimes I see a lot of japanese symbols without any space between them)

katakana is for foreign words, hiragana is for 'actual'(japanese) words

My Bro Would Know, But I Wouldn't. Either Way I Wouldn't Spend 4 Years Of My Life Learning 30,000 Characters Off By Heart. Take A Leaf Out Of The Chinese Book And Learn How To Speak Japanese Using English Phonetics, And You'll Be Fine.
