I guess the title says almost everything.
My PS1 is a NTSC-U console, the model number is SCPH-7001.
Model number is on the bottom, SCPH-XXXX those X representing whatever numbers are there
I still don't know who I should go to about this.

Which comes in 2 days from now.
Here is what I did... gut the puppy, stick a Raspberry Pi in there with RetroPie loaded on it. Swap out the pins in the controller port and replace them with the pins from a USB to 2x PS1/2 controller adapters, rig up your power pack so it sits internally, etc. etc. And away you go. Very cheap! You can find various guides for this on-line, or you can just do what I did and figure out most of it your self.
Anyways, this looks like the best option. Hopefully it doesn't cost too much, I can't seem to find a price anywhere on the website.
I can mod it for you, I got a shipment of psx chips coming in actually (good timing lol). Pm me if you're interested, we can negotiate price etc.
I might if the PSIO costs a shitton.
it was going to be 150 aus $ (in the faq section)
Well then it looks like I'm probably gonna get TSK to mod it for me instead.
I just disc swap lmao
I have a Game Hunter (CD Version), with it you just plug it into the Sony's Expansion port, install the spring under the lid, and boot up with a regular CD, then swap out with a burn.
As long is your Sony is old school and has the expansion port, this should work for you.
