Hello,

I have experience with C#, Java, TS, and Javascript. I'm in my senior year of studying computer science.

I have a desire to learn more and become part of a community like this one.

Noob alert: I just got into 3DS hacking within the past week, but I have already learned a ton and am amazed by what is available.

My main question is in the title. I'm wondering where the veterans of this field, people who develop homebrew and work on romhacks and cfw's learned to do this. Again, forgive me if this seems like a naive question. I figure it would be better for me to ask in an open forum rather than googling around sifting through 1-2 year old forum posts.

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Lukripar.

You'll need this as well to study the ins and outs of the 3DS system:
And this for a reference list of homebrew apps (also filter GBAtemp threads by view counts):
Active projects can be discussed and found at their respective channels in:
If you're going to become a dev, gotta start an account at a Git site like:
Learn to study source code. For better compatibility, you may want to install a variant of Arch Linux (aka: Manjaro Linux) when compiling apps with DevKitPro.
Windows version of it is a hit or miss. MacOS is probably better than Windows; not sure if it's as good as the Linux version.

Remember, the moment you're coding out of frustration without any enjoyment in homebrewing, dis is not da wae.

Step back, relax by doing something else, and come back to it when you're ready again. Your project can wait.

Good luck!
