Hey everyone,
I'm new to the PS Vita scene, I want to buy a used PS Vita and I have a few questions.
I've done some research, but some things are not clear to me.

Is 100$ a good price for a used (I think fat) PS Vita?
I read that HENkaku is possible on 3.60, Ark on 3.63 and VHBL on 3.65 and up, but can I install games on VHBL or just homebrew and emulators?

I would be glad if someone helped me, but I know the feeling dealing with noobs like me so I don't really expect much help.
P.S. Sorry if I typed something wrong, still learning english :/

VHBL does not allow you to play PSP/PS1 ISOs, it's strictly PSP homebrew only.

$100 is about average, for a used Vita, that I see. I would advise getting one on 3.60 if you can though, since Henkaku is basically the best you'll get for Vita hacking.

The problem is that all the used PS Vitas I found in Croatia are already updated to the latest firmware.
One more question, which firmware does PS TV have when you buy a new one?

Check ebay, that's where I got mine after I couldn't source one with 3.60 or lower, locally. There's a wide variety of choice between the Slim and OLED models w 3.60 or lower firmware.

All brand new Vitas and PSTVd are guaranteed nto have 3.60 or lower on them except for red/silver JP Slim's.

As long as it's brand new, it'll be below 3.60.

Yeah that's interesting that.

I just bought my Red JDM PSV 1000 from Japan, to find that the firmware was greater than Henkaku supports.

I bought it to flash, which was a bit of a shame. But adore red, and aren't the displays on the original superior.

It's fine, I hope one day there will be an exploit available, for now I'm just enjoying what the PSV has to offer.

This info is in the pinned thread and that info is already outdated. I purchase brand new blue vita from Japan and it is 3.65. Non-japan new vita should be below 3.60 though

Thanks to everyone who helped me! Means a lot! :D

One option may be to just buy the motherboard which is about £20 on ebay.

Bear in mind it may be a bit of a pain depending on the unit and your skills.

I had issues undoing the screws on my second hand unit and at one point I had to open it up again because the left analogue stick cable connection was slightly off but all is fine now.

Oof. That's not looking good. Would be good if they at least put some FAQ & troubleshooting pages up; rather than ask somebody who clearly knows very little about the subject.

is there a way to download ticekts without having to redownload the entire game? accidentally deleted a few tickets that shouldnt have been deleted when clearing out old games on my switch and ion really wanna have to wait for 1fincher to let me download 1 game every 1.5 hrs lol
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
No I don't think so, you will have to download/ reinstall fulll nsp/ xci game file.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
You can extract tickets using NscBuilder tool, but you still need the full nsp/ xci game file, so just reinstalling is easier.
