    Hi,
sorry for the off topic, but why would you use swap discs? Everytime you want to change the game you have to swap couple of disks :\ In my opinion internal Mod Chip would be the best thing...

I had one of these a long time ago for my original PSX (these are not for PS2s).. Dont remember a PVC card (might be for the white PSOne models), but the spring is to keep a button pressed inside the lid so the PSX thinks the door is still closed when you swap your discs out. I dont remember it supporting multiple-disc games.. you'd have to be able to save, then load from disc 2.

They are pretty expensive and I'm not good at soldering. [IMG]

Anywhere I could find modded PS1 consoles to buy?

Dude, I know a way but you might mess your motor up.
(it only works on ps2, sorry if you have ps1)
Start your ps2 with no game in and go to the browser
put a real game in, block the sensors, and wait for it to show up
while the disc is spinning, flick it out then the motor will go reeeeeru reeeru reeeru
so when it goes ru that means it's stopping for a second
use that second to throw your backup in and then start the game
