Anyone know what's going on, and how to fix this? I'm not too worried, since i have a nand backup on my old laptop. I would rather not use it though, considering the laptop is unavailable for 2 weeks and the backup is very old.

    it's an O3DS, I don't think i updated luma since I forgot how to

Can you boot into payloads? Does the power led stay on? Can you boot the luma config? If so, what version does luma say it is?

what's the button combination again? I'm sorry, i don't think i changed them

edit: yes, the power LED stays on, unless i remove the sd card

edit 2: in case I or someone else needs this, holding down select while powering on opens luma3ds config

Its more than likely forgetting to update and the old version isn't compatible with the new firmware.

Easy to fix just download latest luma before it moved away from al9h and it will be solved.

Alternatively follow 3ds guide and update to new entry point

a little off topic, but does copying all the files from sd onto my laptop count as making a backup? I don't want to install the tool to backup my NAND

    Yes and no.
Yes - It's a backup of your SD cards contents. If you need to delete/move anything from it and then recover, you can do it.
No - It's not a backup of your 3DS system itself, to do it you need a tool to backup your NAND. This is the kind of backup you want to have if you screw upon installing boot9strap to replace A9LH or to downgrade the system back to it's previous state.

okay, this should be my second-last post. Where do I put the luma3ds folder? I tried to replace the one in my 3ds folder, however when I boot up it still runs luma3ds v6.0

You should just overwrite all files, including the one on the root of your sd card,

    It'll be called arm9loaderhax.bin

    That basically is luma
