If it was my forum I'd make the top of the relevant sections display something like "IF THERE IS A FIX IT WILL BE POSTED, DO NOT ASK FOR IT", and then link to a thread describing some very basic logic, like "if there's nobody to code the fix, it won't get coded", and "bug your card maker for the fix, it's their job", followed by "buy a card that actually has support".

Then if anybody posts asking about a fix without concrete info on one existing, instant 3-day tempban.

The threads where they were trying to actually find a fix (the one or two that actually had people with coding experience testing things out and digging into the rom) would have been fine since they're actually putting forth effort on my watch, of course.

I'd add a filter to thread titles and posts. You can't say the words: heartgold, soulsilver, pokemon patch, pokemon fix, and pokemon.

Then I'd breathe a sigh of relief while I see the number of topics being made per second drop from 100 to 0.5.
