When I wake up in the morning, I found my Nintendo Switch dock flashing non-stop while the Nintendo Switch unit is attached on it.
I removed the Nintendo Switch off the dock, there is no power/battery indicator in the Nintendo Switch so I attempted to hold the power button for 15-20 seconds, still black screen and I tried to boot RCM mode, it didn't work and my PC can't detect any device.

Is my Nintendo Switch totally screwed? Is there some way to check an indicator to show life out of the unit?
  • Unit: Nintendo Switch (Erista V1 unpatched)
  • sysNAND: Stock 10.2.0
  • emuMMC: Atmosphere 10.2.0

Update: I bought a multimeter and checked for shorts in the front board (didn't checked the back board yet) and I found only one capacitor which had a short. I am not sure whether the chip above or the capacitor is the faulty one among them all.

Update # 2: I've replaced the fried capacitor chip, and I successfully boot the Nintendo Switch with no issue whatsoever...

...except my unit is now incapable of charging, I assume that somehow the BGA chip might've been broken too as well.

Alright so the cap that shorted is connected to the IC(BQ Charge IC) that does charging, my advice would be to change that IC, also what BGA IC is damaged, if it is on the underside of the batt connector then that is a MAX Fuel gauge IC, which I can send the link to buy it for; they're inexpensive as well luckily

Here is an image highlighting the short I found from the backplate PCB.
