You can make it even simpler to set up your DSTWO by using Flashcarthelper so you don't have to deal with placing the system files on the SD card.

Why has no one linked him to the setup files for his r4i-sdhc.hk card? I mean that card he bought is compatible with 3DS 2.1.0-3 firmware and 1.4.3 DSi firmware. It's not fake, but he did over-pay!

@JesseJamesSmith: Dude, your card is pictured in the very top picture of the "Product" page of the r4i-sdhc.hk website. Get the kernel files and use that card. You don't need another flash card to play most games. Use the kernel on the r4i-sdhc.hk website and install Retro's kernel (I think it will work even though your specific card isn't listed) then you can play practically every game out right now. Here is a link for Retro's kernel. Save your money. If you want different skins for your card go here.

Do some research first mate, two minutes googling this would have solved the problem before it even existed.

Yeah, about the whole firmware thing. It seems the links are dead on the r4i-sdhc.hk website, so im SOL. When I click English for the one I have, it gives me an error. I've tried it on four different computers, on four different internet connections, so that's what pisses me off the most.

If you still want a firmware for your fake R4, retrogamefan's YSMenu updates should work (just google "retrogamefan").

It isn't. When I put the firmware from there on this R4, when it boots it just says "Menu?" and doesn't start.


Also, a random update, I emailed the craigslist guy who sold it to me, and he said it isn't counterfeit because "it works just fine". I told him how it's been proven fake not only here but from another person I found who fixes R4 cards, and his response was "Dude it works how else would I make them work if it did not work". I feel like this person has suddenly adopted a language barrier they did not have previously.

So out of curiosity, do you have the ORIGINAL firmware? If so, you could tack on Retrogamefan's multicart update and have a functioning card. If not, I'll see if I can look for you card's firmware.

Okay I'm a bit confused. It seems to have the 1.4.3 version already installed on it. I feel like it's the newest one because it does work on the newest 3DS version. Im following Retrogamefans guide, but the how to install guide isn't necessarily clear on whether or not I'm supposed to add their files in addition to the one that came on it. I am so lost

its a DSTT fake, so if you get official firmware and flash
then you can use retro's firmware and it will work on 3.0.0-6 with good compatibility

if its already running on 3.0.0-6 then the update may have already been applied

you should be able to run teh

DSTT_DSTTi
folder version on your flashcard
