Well, my R4i Gold, after a 1.4.4 DSi update, bit the dust.

I used my DS Lite to update, and now it dosen't work!!!

    Any solutions?

What's the site on the front?

    How -exactly- did you update?

    Using a .nds file.

Other things: It completed successfully. After restarting it I got a DS logo(but with no Nintendo logo) which means the cart doesn't work, or the DS Lite can't detect it.

    It's a version from R4i-Gold.com. I've heard about hot-swapping, but that's for the r4ids.cn R4i Gold.

What happens if you put the cart in after booting the Lite without anything in it?

Hot swapping can be used on almost any flash cart to rewrite the bootloader. R4i Gold, other R4 clones, Acekard, etc... as long as the update program comes as a standard ROM file and does the cart check after you tell it to start (opposed to on program load), then cart swapping is an available option.

When I turn on the Lite with the R4i Gold, the first time: Nothing in cart slot.
Second time: R4i Gold, and DS Lite displays no Nintendo logo, or cartridge in slot.(no cart inserted, but there is a cart inserted)
Third time: Boot up Pokemon Pearl to make sure it's not the cart connector itself.
    EPIC FAIL.
