Get a CAT scan of your brain (or whatever medical scan it is that shows a slice of your brain) and use it as your avatar on a popular forum site for a popular subject. Make sure to scan in the documents showing it's yours!

Then when it starts showing up under goolge's image search or whatever and somebody adopts it for their own avatar on a forum you can find it with something like tineye... Join the forum and PM them asking if they'd kindly not use a scan of your brain as their avatar.

it's about $3,000 and up for a cat scan
$3,000 just so you can use it as a avatar??
I think it's cheaper to just get an image off the internet and call it yours

A lot of ideas I have are only ones rich people with lots of disposable time and income could pull off...
All of my brain scans were covered by insurance, or free because my mom worked at a place that did them.

Or you can take pictures of a walnut cross section and color them.

Meh, close enough. Given the kind of drivel I usually spout, nobody would doubt that really represented my brain.

CAT and MRI I can not help you with but it would be decidedly easier to make an EEG type scan if cost is your main issue
http://www.emotiv.com/emortal/cart/ and a nice presentation on the matter http://www.ted.com/talks/tan_le_a_headset_...brainwaves.html also http://hackaday.com/2010/09/13/python-libr...for-emotiv-eeg/
Better yet you can make a bunch to go with your mood (and maybe even one of those scripts I see for rotating avatars (or if you must flash so as to be able to do it in real time) and become the envy of the all those who insist on telling people about their mood on their chosen social networking platform.

This being said it is not that hard to build MRI or CAT type equipment there is no way you catch me sticking my head near a homemade one any time soon.
