I'll edit this post when I manage to get a screenshot of my 3ds, because I think I have the same issue....

EDIT: Notice the duplicate of everything:

If I open any of the duplicates, the 3ds crashes with your typical "an error has occured" blah blah blah. Does this match your scenario? I didn't even region swap, so I have no idea what's going on!
