Hello GBATemp,

I just finished replacing Super Mario Land 3's (Wario Land) Battery, and cleaned the contacts with Brasso. It works like new again. (yay!)

But, I did a youtube, and most said that you must use a CR2025.(V3)
I just used a CR1220 V3, and works fine.

Is there any chance it will lead to problems some day, like ruining the game/gameboy?

Thanks in advance!

jceggbert5 has pretty much the truth of it. I am sure we could debate chemistry, internal resistance and the like but year.

The numbers although they have a knock on effect

http://www.maxell-usa.com/getpdf.aspx?id=34&type=support is quite nice.

From that the 2025 is 150 mAh where the 1220 is only 36mAh which means it will probably not last all that long compared to the main one.
