Hacking I opened my sister's DS and the hinge broke right off.

Anyways, I have to replace the shell, I'm paying for it and will replace it.

She also has a messed up touch screen, like for the left half of it, it works fine, but when you touch the right side, where you touch is like 10 pixels off.

So I was going to buy this:

What I can think of you could be better off getting these:

Those resemble the original touch screen more, while ones you linked are more of Harder type, that shatter if you pressure them too much (normal touch screen is just plastic and does not shatter)

also a screwdriver...

And search for most genuine looking and pleasing casing from the dealextreme site, and that is all you need!

oh, and to be sure, order two, or three...

I cannot say about dealextreme cases, some of them are about like nintendo's, some are not (my transparent black was quite awful)

Better take maybe the little more costing, more quality looking (and not transparent) casings...

What's wrong with the transparent ones? The ones without the LED?

The review thread says they are the best, and that's what I've heard >_>

Just curious, watching a supermodcase or whatever video, do I still have to put eletrical tape on the back of the screen or was that just for new LCD screens, not touch?

Sometimes the transparent ones don't really fit well. You have to rely on luck to get a good case.

Well her LED area completely broke off so I told her not to touch it anymore (I let her play it...I opened it and closed it...but she made it worse now)

I bought that hinge in my previous order for my DS since mines wobbly too but I have it in case for one of us.

I'm all set to fix both now :3
