Can't play 3ds games

power consuming

Pros:
3d games
can save videos
1gb of storage

awesome games

Can worsen your vision
no flipnote memo (comming soon)

XLs are pointless unless you're under 7 or over 40.
Get a 3DS, it's everything and more, minus being pointlessly oversized. My Dad has one and it's...cute, but i'd sure never use it for an extended period of time.

It's all relative on how much longevity you think you can get out of current DS games. The XL by far offers the best DS experience more so than any other system. The 3DS being horrible for DS games.

If you can hang on and wait for an inevitable 3DS redesign and are happy playing DS games for the time being I would go with an XL. The XL is a glorious handheld, I like it way more than the 3DS and in my opinion its the best thing Nintendo have done in an age, it puts the design decisions made with the 3DS to shame.

But that's just my opinion, and I am 7 or over 40.

Actually, no model of the DSi or 3DS is hackable. I know you meant use a flash card on it, but technically that isn't hacking.

The DSi XL is cheaper than the 3DS, too.

Pictochat is kind of useless, as the only way you can use it is if you and another person are in the same room...and it's much easier to just talk aloud.

Actually, most of the time this isn't true, as the XL is the much larger DSi and it's more likely than not to only fit in LARGE pockets.

well I have both, because I got my XL at the current price like a month after it was released. I currently use it more than my 3DS, but that will probably change when I get Heroes of Ruin.

A hardmod to allow you to run unsigned code is hacking it.
