If you have the HBC installed, then move onto the next step. What else would you do?

(Im just trying to be careful and not brick something [IMG] )

I however do not have Bootmii installed. And within the update it says to activate bannerbomb and install HBC and Bootmii..

I believe I have starfall or priiloader or something to that extent.

How would I install bootmi? Go to the sd card and load boot.dol/elf? and from there that is hackmii installer and I can install bootmii as IOS? after that I can install everything .. I've used wad installers before. Its just that this through me for a loop and I don't want to trash anything.

Just run the boot.elf for the HackMii Installer from the HBC the same way you would any other homebrew app. No need to even bother with BannerBomb. And if you don't have BootMii at all then you probably have an old HBC, so running the installer is good idea anyway.

Thank you. So I'll run the installer and load boot mii and go from there.

I've undated HBC everytime it is offered though. Is there a different version than just updating it when it requests to do so?

Nah. The installer you get from the WiFi update prompt is the exact same one you get from bootmii.org

Install it as Boot2 if you can and always as IOS.
Boot2 has the big advantage of being able to boot before the system menu > brick protection
IOS doesn't have this advantage, but it can always be installed and can be booted from HBC
