I never thought I would see the day where I wanted to make a thread about swimming on a video game forum... today my friend invited me to one of his swims meets... at first I wasn't sure but I went anyway... it was very cool... I'm quite a good swimmer myself... except I cannot dive... it is something with my nerves. something about being head first toward water..... i need advice

I initially read that as driving.
Not sure what kind of advice I could offer.
Try small dives first, like off an underwater ledges if possible. Slowly build confidence towards a full dive.
Why do want to do diving anyway?

Start by diving from waist deep water. Then sit on the edge of the pool and dive in from a sitting position. Then stand in shallower and shallower water until you're standing at the edge of the pool. Make sure to have the right position at each time with your arms tucked behind your ears and facing down. There's not much we can say to help you get over the fear except that you just have to do it, kind of like getting into a cold pool.

You could also get individual lessons if you have $

    Some Guinness cans have a ball inside them for whatever reason
  • Skv0ra @ Skv0ra:
    @K3Nv3,
    that's the nitro thing. it gets released/opened when you pop em
  • Skv0ra @ Skv0ra:
    and you get that flavor
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
    Guinness cans contain a small, nitrogen-filled ball called a "widget". This widget is a crucial part of the canned Guinness experience, as it helps replicate the creamy texture and cascading effect of a draft pour.
