First things first, what kind of flash cart are you using? (Supercard Lite, M3 Lite, EZ4... etc)

So you're aware of the patching process then? (Patching a rom before adding it?)

Well, here's the basic gist of it:

The software program you downloaded (I think the icon is a thunderbolt or something) is a program you must use before adding any rom files to your MicroSD card. This program is used to "patch" a rom and customize it to work on your Supercard Lite (one single rom cannot simply run on every type of flashcart, therefore the rom is patched so that it can run with Supercard flashcarts). The following are the steps you should take to "patch" a rom for it to properly run and save on your MicroSD:

---> Obtain your rom file (should end in .nds)

---> Open up the software patching program

---> Click "Add" and locate the .nds rom file or simply drag and drop the file into the program

---> Click "Out" and the software will begin to "Patch" the rom(s) you added. This may take a while. When the process is done, a window will come up that says "Complete"

---> Locate the new "patched" rom files on your computer. It should be specificed in the software patching program (options tab-> out path)

---> After you find the location in which the patched roms were sent, you should have 2 files for that rom. A .dsq.nds file and a .sav file. These 2 files are the files that should be added to your MicroSD card. Just simply drag and drop them onto the MicroSD and you're good to go

What the patching program simply did was "convert" the rom into a format that the Supercard could understand (.dsq.nds) and added a blank save file for all your data to be saved and recorded to (.sav). Now that your rom has a blank .sav file, all data should be properly saved. Try it out and let me know how it goes... [IMG]

Hmm, never tried it that way... Did it still send a .sav file there (to the MicroSD) as well as a .dsq.nds file?

What games specifically don't save properly?

Also, have you done anything different when adding Castlevania: DoS?

Redownload the 1.7 firmware and reupdate.

You may want to try this if you notice most of the newer games aren't saving/functioning properly. Yoshi's Island DS in particular won't save properly if you don't have the right version of the 1.7 firmware release. The Supercard team located a bug in their initial 1.7 firmware release and had to re-release a second version of the 1.7 download.

well the only games ive tried are metroid prime hunters, guilty gear ds, phoenix wright, jump ultimate superstars, and castlevania:DoS. so far MPH, GGDS, and PW wont save properly. JUS im not sure because i cant read japanese. besides from default, i add 'enable trim ROM'

    ill try redownloading it.

Sounds like a firmware related problem. You should try redownloading and reupdating as richardv suggested. Did you download the 1.7 firmware release the first day it came out? If so, I'm almost positive it's the firmware problem...
