Okaaaii! I have short thick hair (plan on growing it out), and it's freakin' damaged to hell. When it's dry, it gets all poofy and frizzy. LOOKS LIKE I HAVE A FUZZY AFRO! I'm looking for some anti-poof shampoo to help fix this and I want to know if it'll help my hair lie down flat.

Anyone have any recommendations for good shampoo? Ask your wives/GFs/daughters if you can. Thank you~

    P.S. I hate my hair >

I have kinda the same hair style as you. Do you have curly hair? If so, just a shampoo isn't going to get it to lay flat. You'll have to use a flat iron. I use Head and Shoulders, and it doesn't really flatten the hair, but it makes it look nice

Gariner Fructis is a pretty good shampoo brand
theres a whole lotta different kinds for different hair
    i.e. sleek and shine
theres probably one that de-volumizes hair and gets rid of frizziness too

    hmmm
    Dove is pretty good too

you need a hot oil treatment

i used to dye my hair way to much and it would get all fried and whatnot, this stuff works and it's cheap

I don't have curly hair, it just... shoots outward. lol.
Think of that purple potato in TheWorst's profile picture, but with longer fuzz on his body.

I'll take a look at Head & Shoulders. Thanks!

You can go to any store that sells shampoos and buy small bottles for like a buck or less. That way, if you don't like it, you can just get rid of it

If your hair is out of control, try shampoo and conditioner in one.

Also there are more of oil type conditioner (I don't remember what they are called, I think it was just conditioner) that you can apply after you towel dry your hair. It keeps your hair moist and silky, doesn't harden like gel or wax. A little bit pricey for its volume though. Usually comes in very small sizes, like 30ml (1 ounce?)

Ohh, I totally forgot about those conditioners that you leave in your hair.
I should get some. Thank you, Deathfisaro, for reminding me ^^

I use head and shoulders (used up one 420ml and on my 2nd one) and I don't feel my scalp being any different from when I was using Pantene or Loreal.

Shampoo isn't your problem, you need Conditioner.

That'd be a big letdown. I expected my scalp to feel better =(

One time I bleached my hair twice, and died it Canada Red. (Whatever man, I ain't no artist and I'm not using a color chart with 2500 kinds of reds. I'm calling it Canada Red [IMG])
The color came out real nice (obviously, bleaching twice makes your hair virtually a blank canvas), but the damage was quite... extreme...

I needed shampoo + conditioner AND extra conditioner after towel drying.

That somewhat did the trick. Those little oil conditioners are worth every penny.
