I know there is some homebrew that does this via wifi, but the wifi setup in my house doesn't play nice with the ds.

I have a slot-2 m3sd(and an acekard 2, if it matters), and I remember there being a tool that let you extract the save onto the m3, but I can't remember what it's called.

anyone know where I could get it, or if it even works for newer games?

if the WiFi in your house doesn't work with your DS, then you need to change your encryption settings.

Change your wireless encryption to WEP, simple 64 bit key. It will keep any unwanted neighbours from using your wireless allright, and it will work with your DS.

i'm pretty sure that the 3 in 1 tool won't work with an m3sd.

also, The reason wifi doesn't work is because I'm using wpa, but frankly changing my wifi settings is going to be a huge pita that I want to avoid if possible

If you mean in terms of changing the setting, then it's not that big of an issue, usually it's just clicking the WEP button, setting 64 or 128 and then choosing a passphrase if your previous one isn't used.

If you mean in terms of changing all the other wireless devices to use the new settings, you could just change it temporarily.
