I experienced a near heart attack the other day. I had my R4 in my pocket (inside the little blue carry case) and somehow it managed to slip out while getting into my car (unbeknown to me). Well, It was run over as I backed up. I saw the poor thing lying there as I got further back and nearly crapped myself. Well, After inspection, the blue case as been cracked and will no longer latch closed however, the blue rubber padding was not harmed and the all important R4 inside was completely intact. Gotta love great engineering.

Not the protector of the DS but the protector of the R4

Yeah, it's a really strong case. Kinda like those ToughBooks (they were like military hardened laptops), where a guy deliberately run over it (not in your case, as it was accidental) and it didn't break.

All hail the awesomely good protector!

I lost mine, lol. And shouldn't your R4 always be in your DS?

no, it was in the padded blue case. the case broke, but the r4 was fine due to the padding.

Aye, the case truly is protective. Unfortunately mine is extremely difficult to open [IMG]

I guess I'll have to do some filing to fix it up

I never use the casing. The R4 always stays in my DS and I don't have any other carts. [IMG]

I can't smell mine, but I 'borrowed' my friend's for a minute just to smell.

    Smells like happy.

I dropped my PSP next to my car once, in that logitech case. It didn't mark the case very bad and the PSP still works fine. Good thing I spent that extra $20. These days I think you can get those cases for $10 though [IMG]

Also on topic about cases, I believe dealextreme sells the case by itself if you need to buy one. Probably like $1 including shipping.

The R4 is so flat, the cushioning of a tire wouldn't be able to damage it. the blue case, on the other hand is thick enough to be cracked.

Anyway, you might want to attach the case to your keychain. That's what the little hole is for.
