Is it properly powered through a Y cable or a power cord?

I read that in a Scottish accent without meaning to, made it way funnier than it needed to be :D

Make sure that the hdd itself is in good condition. That was happening to me too but it was because I had a faulty hdd. Switched it for another one and I never got that message again

Crap. I can't afford another $50 hard drive right now. And yes, it's connected with a Y cable

save up your money and get 500gb ssd on ebay, if possible, for about $120 or whatever that amount converts to where you're from.

SSD? For a Wii U? Are you off your meds? Got myself a 3TB HDD for £70, a Wii U doesn't need an SSD anyway

I read it in a Scottish accent as well but then again I am Scottish and it still made me laugh. I'm easily amused.

I just bought a 128GB microSD card for $25 during black Friday, and use a nano usb adapter so it doesn't stick out. ZERO issues. Splatoon runs fine from it, as expected.
