    Hyperspace is faster than Warp.

    That will be all.

    Thank you. [IMG]

Warp is how fast? Hyperspace is how fast?

    I never really knew.

I just compared the distances they travel. Hyperspace gets you across the entire galaxy in a few days, while Warp 9 can't get you from the Delta quadrant to Alpha in under 20 years.

What about Warp 10, ie the hyperwarp barrier? You are everywhere at once at that speed, it's just a matter of picking where you want to be

Hmmm, like the Infinite Improbability drive? Okay, yes, that's faster (instantaneous, even), but that's über-Transwarp there.

    I found this somewhere:
Isn't Warp 10 cheating, then? You're not really moving, you're simply there. Like the Caretaker's beam thingy. How "fast" is that? Infinitely fast?

Well... if you think outside of yourself and take the holistic approach...
We are part of the whole, thus we are the whole, thus we are everywhere at once, thus I should be able to save a bundle on my long-distance calling plan.

Warp 10 is infinitely fast, but in no star trek did they perfect it (some major bad stuff happened when they tried it in Voyager)

Although it is noteworthy that in one of the last episodes of TNG, Dr (captain) Crusher's (Beverly) ship could go warp 13, if this is the same technology or just the equivelent speed of warp 13 is never revealed (I hate my photographic memory)

Ya they like tried cheating at it and they got off course and only 2 guys survived, then they went back into time to give them info to not do it. But they did show it was possible, just only for them [IMG].
