OK... yeah, the title explains a lot, I really was quite stupid.
I accidentally (yes, accidentally, I don't know how or why) turned off the PSP during updating from 3.52M33-3 to 3.90M33, God I'm thick.

So quick question about the Magic Memory Stick and Pandora (I'll use Datel TOOL, but same thing)
I ran the TotalNewbi Easy Installer round a friend's house, is that all I'll need? Or is there more I have to do with the memory stick (SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo 1gb)?
And yeah, I chose the Universal Unbricker v3 with 3.71M33 Firmware (or something

)

So, then is all I have to do is use the Datel TOOL Battery, and turn on the PSP?

Thanks for your help

Here's what you do.

Make sure your mem stick is a pro duo (256 mb or larger), run the Totalnewbieeasyinstaller on a machine running Windows XP.

Make sure you have a pandora battery (the TOOL battery is the same thing).

Insert the memory stick into your PSP.

Insert the battery into your psp and put the cover on. The system will automatically boot into recovery mode.

Use the recovery mode to unbrick your PSP.

Er, just a quick question, to play PSOne eboots (not official) is POPSLOADER necessary? Or is that only for problem games?

Its necessary for multiple games in one.
Other than that you can just run them.

and Final Fantasy 8 will crash... save yourself the frustration and don't play it on PSP.
though some people claim to have been able to stop the crashing.

not true there are some non crashing versions of FF8 out there just join an iso site and take a
look in their eboot section (pm me for details of a decent site)

edit: is this better?

lol at wannabe mods.

Yeah, before I bricked my PSP I was running Final Fantasy VII near perfection. It didn't do the transition when you go into battle and it slowed down a bit before the battle began.

=\
My PSP is still bricked =\ Looks like I didn't make the Magic Memory Stick properly. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get access to a Memory Stick Pro Duo USB adapter

Anyone??
I really hate triple-posting, but could someone answer? This is kinda urgent.

Is formatting it on the PC the same thing? If not, is there some way I can do it on a PC

Thanks in advance...

AND ALSO
Does it matter that my PSP is an 'IC1003' motherboard (TA-082) when trying to unbrick it?

Hmmm. I'm sure you can just format it with your PC? Maybe try the other easy installer.
