    This is fun though.

Should I do it on other games? What changes could I do?

Find a really good Japanese game and turn the text to English. [IMG]

I used DSLazy to unpack it, I edited a file using Arachnophilia (It's an HTML editor but I use it for opening any kind of files) and I changed some text.
Not only the text changed, but it messed up everything xD

    (Greece ftw)

You should use a hex editor,it won't screw up the game.
    edit:hex workshop
If you need any help hacking the game PM me.

The ease of text editing depends on the game. Some games use xml and html to store dialogue, while other games use "less accessible" methods.

I did, but will I really need Hex Workshop?
Oh well, one extra program doesn't hurt anyone.

@Thaigrocer, I know that. Contra's text is inside "loctext" files.

I'm in Hex Workshop. I'll re-unpack the clean contra files, and do a simple hack. I'll report back.

If I add a byte to make more letters the whole game messes up, so I have to add hacky shortcuts (TeoNinty5! instead of TeoNintyFive) [IMG]
