Hacking I just bought a Gateway. Can't get refund because it doesn't work with the New 3DS.

It's like that in a lot of places. You just have to take a chance on CL.... I sold my hacked PS3 and Wii for more than what I paid for them.

You just need to have peristance and patience. Craigslist will do the rest.

I asked a re-seller if the Gateway works with the New 3DS.
I was told Yes.
I bought it and got it 3 days ago.
The card does NOTHING for a New 3DS. I messed around with it for days.
I contacted the re-seller again and was told it was my fault for ordering it.
I sold it on craigslist for MORE than I bought it for + an actual game.
I bought a Sky3DS with the money I made.

How does this make no sense?

I heard gateway made claim of releasing an exploit to use it on N3DS later. I would just hold out. Gateway has much more features than Sky3DS.

Mainly the bit where you said you've spent some time on these forums. This reads like a post from someone who blindly bought what the salesperson told them to without any research at all.

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster.

I contacted *siteremoved* before buying my Gateway and was told it would work on a new 3DS.

I got it, and it does not. Both of my friends bought a Sky3DS and are playing Smash Bros right now. I can't, since the Gateway is a paperweight for the New 3DS, and *siteremoved* lied about it working for the New 3DS.

I contacted them again and this time they told me there is no guarantee that it will ever work for the New 3DS, and they will not give me a refund since it was my mistake.
This is stupid. I even sent them the e-mail I got from them earlier and was told that the other rep thought I was talking about a new Old 3DS.

Can they pull this nonsense with me? Anyone have any idea on how to get my money back, or at least pay a bit more and have them send me a Sky3DS?

Thank you, sorry for the ranty post, I just don't want to throw away $70.

You should add the site back in the OP. They can't sue you for anything. They made a false statement and you called them out on it. They should have explained that Gateway doesn't (yet, if ever) work with the new 3DS.

Add the site back in. A store that lies doesn't deserve my money or anyone else's.
