Is there anything I can do? I installed a set of files called Wii IOS Wad Pack:
1OS236.wad cIOS249[56]-d2x-v8-final.wad
cIOS11-v6174-TED.wad cIOS250[57]-d2x-v8-final.wad
cIOS16-v257.wad cIOS251[58]-d2x-v8-final.wad
cIOS202[60]-v5.1R.wad cIOS30-v6174-TED.wad
cIOS20-v6174-TED.wad cIOS36-v3094-TEND.wad
cIOS222[38]-v4.wad cIOS50-v4889-TED.wad
cIOS223[37-38]-v4.wad cIOS60-v6174-TED.wad
cIOS224[57]-v5.1R.wad cIOS70-v6174-TED.wad
cIOS245[37]-d2x-v8-final.wad cIOS80-v6174-TED.wad
cIOS246[38]-d2x-v8-final.wad cIOS90-v6174-TED.wad
cIOS247[53]-d2x-v8-final.wad cIOS9-v6174-TED.wad
cIOS248[55]-d2x-v8-final.wad !!!IOS60-system-compatability-test.wad

It's been ages since the last time I made any updates... I know, it was completely stupid of me... Is there anything I can do?

I have the keys.txt file at hand.

Thank you

Thanks for the tip...

I have managed to install haxchi and use Some-YAWMM-Mod to removed the wrong CIOS and install a complete set of vWii IOS following the guide, but still no luck.
In order to get the IOS files, I followed these steps:
  • Downloaded the complete list of IOS files of the last update in my region: lastupdate.vwii.EUR.txt from wiimpersonator
  • Used NUS Downloader to create a set of WADs from the list above.
  • Then, used wwpacker to repack them using de NoMod option.
  • Then, I installed the set of wads using YAWMM (except for IOS2, since it complains about 'wrong regions SM').

I don't know what else I could try :wacko::wacko:. I have also managed to launch FTPiiu Everywhere, but I don't know where I could find a set of fresh vWii files.

I also managed to run syscheck after the installation of new set of wads. The system menu information looks fishy:

The problem is you can't download the IOS with NUSdownloader, as it doesn't sign vWii WADs correctly, you need to obtain clean vIOS dumped from a console, (which you should have done if following a good guide.) Anyway you can't ask for them here as they are Nintendo IP (Copyright protected). That's why your vWii is still bricked

Thanks. I've seen many comments about IOS downloaded with NUSdownloader, but then I saw this post (sorry, cannot include link as a newcomer): problems-installing-wad-on-vwii.412981/#post-6037431
This is why I've tried repacking them with wwpacker. But it does not seem to work.

Any hint on what could I do to get them? I don't have anybody close with a fresh wii U

Just one additional question? Would anybody else's dumped vIOS work for my console? Should it be the same region or even the same firmware version (my firmware version is 5.5.3 E) ?

You can extract them from your own vwii nand backup using Wii (u) nand extractor and restore them with ftpiiu everywhere.

Dump the IOS with Yet Another Blue Dump Mod and inject a Wad Installer on your Wii U and install the Wads to your vWii. There is a Guide for Injecting the Wad Manager and Installing the IOS.

Here is a Guide for dumping wads with yabdm: https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-vwii-hacking-guide.425852/#11

Nice that you got it back... Now time to say something people may not consider.
If you have the know how, you could technically download the source code for nusdownloader and throw in the vwii common key and use it to download the files. HOWEVER, it downloads what I would presume the wiiu install data. (since vwii is never actually updated in vwii mode, instead, updated in wiiu mode) which means packing wads break. (adds usually about two extra files that are not related to vwii) (Only decryption would work. Which means using ftpiiu everywhere and manually adding the file. Which poses issues)
Of course unless someone wants to go touching the wad packing function of nusdownloader, vwii wads won't be able to be produced through nus downloader unless someone fixes that.
(vwii does actually have it's own title ids. Don't go downloading wii title ids and expecting to magically download vwii)
