Homebrew I have a lot of questions about FBI

ok, so I'm running off of a o3ds 11.8, and I'm also new to the homebrew scene, to give you context. And from what I'm gathering, .cia's, act basically like .wad files on the Wii. So in order to get FBI (Which is a cia aparantly), I need Luma3ds, and to get that, I need to get a R4 cart? Because I don't got that kind of money.

I'm really confused, and all the YouTube tutorials I found are just people with their shaky phone cameras.

You dont need to use an R4 card to install CFW on the latest firmware use frogminer instead

Update: It worked out perfectly, well. Except in the finishing steps, where it tells you to boot the system while holding the power button and start, nothing happened. But hey, I got Luma3ds on here, AND I can finally use cia's. thanks.

dont hold the power button. just start. you only need to press the power button once.
