I Gotta Get Me One Of These Darn Laser Printers!

I just had to do that! On a serious note, they would make your DSi kinda bulky.

I lol at them putting Guitar Hero On Tour in a DSi.

I noticed that too

But the concept that they had in mind isn't very good, but there is actually a very good idea that BLAZE didn't realise

I don't really see what is so hard about putting DS games into the DS, because using the Game Selector for normal game cartridges isn't much more efficient. But when you think about that with flashcards (which I don't think they had in mind), it has heaps of potential! As zeromac said, you can hold movies on one flashcard, homebrew on another, etc. Well spotted finding this accessory

That's epic! I wonder if it works with flashcarts.
All it does is connect the pins on the flashcart with those in Slot 1, and use a switch to select which set of pins are connected at one time. From a technical standpoint I see no reason why it shouldn't.

I'd take like 50 of them and connect them to each other and put as many flashcarts in them as I could, and each of them would have 16GB in them. And then I'd get some for gba.

I was actually excited to see this thing...then I noticed you have to physically switch a button to change which game is played. What they should have done is given the device it's own internal rom, allowing you to choose which game you want to play straight from the DSi.

Might still consider getting it though.

Yeah, it's interesting from a purely technical standpoint. It might make your console too bulky although. (I have tiny hands - I can wear kids magic gloves and get away with it.) I'm all for it, but I have two other games in rotation along with my flashcart - Pokemon Diamond, Animal Crossing - this would make it a lot easier to have them on hand.

I'm actually considering buying an Iplayer or 2 so I could use it for movies and GBA combined with my acekard for nds games i wouldnt evr need to change them

I have a Gamester one for GBA SP and I have 3 flashcarts in that (Supercard MiniSD and 2 Flash linker type ones) And i havent taken them out for so long I hardly remeber what they look like LOL

so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more

    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
AI assisted game creation might become a thing
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At least that's something I think would be pretty cool.

@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
