I needed some money so I recently applied for a job at Crate and Barrel (anybody else heard about that place?) and I got hired for floorstock! Crate and Barrel is one of the few places that hire 14-year olds (at least in America), so that's why I was interested in getting a job there. I found out about that from my mom who used to work there. I get paid $8 and hour! WOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
I start next week. I'm really excited! [IMG] Any other 14 year olds that have a real job?

8 dollars...an hour? I don't think that it's legal for someone at this age to get a legal job, but I could and apparently, am wrong.
Wow, I'll have to wait until I'm 15 to work for my cousin at his clothing store (MLM, clothing store for old, rich folks).

You sure are lucky to be getting a "real" job at this age (I labored at a construction site last summer, for only 5 bucks an hour!).

    Happy floorstocking!
And I hope you have to work on Christmas! [IMG]

Just kiddin' [IMG]...I gotta see if I have one of those stores in my area...

Happened to me too, I ended up working in a grocery store when I was the age of 15. In the end I became a supervisor. I quit later when I was 19 to work at an electronics store. Now I buy TVs at cost price. [IMG]

I feel sorry for anyone over 18 not making double-digit wages.

get out there and find those jobs and start saving, so you're not working when you're 60.

.... Yeah you sound like you'r 14 [IMG]

I alraedy spent my money for the next few years , I spent...

    DS = 300$ A year ago
6 games for the DS in the time between buying the DS untill now (About 1.5 years) , 450$
    R4DS + 2GB Micro SD , 75$
GameCube and a few games and controllers , 300$(Maybe less , But i'm not sure)

    All together 300 + 450 = 750 + 300$ = 1050 + 75 = 1125$!

1125$ for 2 years , and covers all birthdays and holidays , + I won't be able to spend big money (on games for GameCube or DS or something) for the next 2 years [IMG], I've had my fun [IMG]

Congratulations! I had a job when I was that age, it wasn't much, just a simple stock boy job. But they paid me under the table so I made a good money. [IMG]

Dude I made $12.5 an hour when I was 16 at a Meat Plant. Although there was a danger of getting grinded into hamburger.
And Americans often make fun of Canada for having low income.

I made 12 an hour at my first job. [IMG]

I was 16 though. I had something I call "parents" to buy me everything when I was younger. I've worked there for awhile now, I make 18.50 an hour now. Good life...

Also, as a 14 year old, you can only work 3 hours a day and 5 days a week. SO you only make:

    8*3 = 24

    24*5 = 120

Plus the tax that they take out, you MIGHT only come out making 75 bucks a week.
