Hacking I found my old AK2i, and it's freezing up

Hello, I found my old AceKard 2i, and decided to try it on my DS Lite, the system freezes up on the warning. My DS works fine with original games and other new flashcarts. Any ideas as to what this is?

Bad connections (try ejecting an original game during the animation... same result)

Disassemble flashcard and clean pins, maybe put 1-2 rectangles of paper on the side opposite the pins, ...
