So seeing as there are tons of cross over items in TF2 (ie: earbuds) I emailed Gabe and asked what would be his favourite cross-over item and why.
Heres my email

Hey Gabe

I'm a huge fan of Team Fortress 2. The reason it's such a great game, in my opinion, is how all the different classes are amazingly fair and balanced. Personally, i play scout but I find that i can switch to any random class and I can enjoy that class just as much.

I've seen so many cross-over promotional items for Team Fortress 2 that it's just mind boggling. So i was wondering, if you could pick any series or game to have a cross over item with Team Fortress 2 what item would it be and why? And also from what game?

And all I got was this stupid automated response

You get the same automatic response from their. I tried emailing him a few days ago using that e-mail adress and got the same shitty automatic response.

Fixed (although to be fair, he could have retired off his riches from Microsoft instead of starting Valve in the first place).

Valve has discovered that there's far more money in content delivery than actual production of such content, for a fraction of the effort. While they still do develop games "on the side," maintaining the CDN is their majority focus now.
