Okay, this might sound somewhat bratty, but I have asked an iPod touch 4g from my dad.
I worked hard for it, at his own small business... Where he builds... houses, and...... stuff
(I worked one full week, and I will work at least one more in the near future)
But... the problem is, I saw some reviews and stuff and read 'the truth about the iPod touch 4g' articles.
And, it seems that apple somewhat lied :/
It's not the iPhone without the phone (and 3G, gps, light sensor, weird buttons, metal antenna, stuff)
The screen looks bad if viewed from a different angle than you're supposed to, so friends won't enjoy watching with you... :/
The camera is WAY worse than the iPhone 4's (.7MP for iPod touch, 5MP for iPhone iirc)
It has 256MB ram... not 512 which is still a dissapointment.
moar stuff is worse
Sucks.
If the 3DS was out, I would be 100% sure to ask for that one
But it isn't, and quite probably not @ my b-day too
Stuff I already haz:
-A pretty much very outdated computer (2003, pentium 4, graphical card that I don't want to talk about, lot's of BSODS and random errors, 1GB ram, two 512MB sticks, and one is probably bad... it's practically dead)
-A ds lite (which is BROKEN. hinge, extremely scratched screen, broken mic, l & r dust problem, probably more)
-A dsi (which I have bought as a replacement, no problems, so no new ds
)
-iPod touch 2g 8gb wanabe 3g MC model (few scratches on screen... works, no problems, just slightly (by apple's definitions) outdated)
-A really cool phone
nokia 5130 xpressmusic, I don't want to replace this at all. NO! I love music
-A... keyboard. The music instrument thingy
-iPod shuffle (gotten from my birthday from my sisters and their friends together a few years ago
. Has a battery that lasts over 8 months o.o, yes I'm 100% serious.)
-Err... N64
-Ps2
-Television
Don't think of me as a spoiled brat now, everything is outdated
And I worked for my dsi, got my ds for christmas-like thingy in Holland (sinterklaas) iPod touch for birthday. Paid for my phone myself
Keyboard is due to the fact that I have lessons and... Like them?
N64 isn't actually mine, but my sisters' but they don't mind me borrowing it for pretty much forever
ps2 is my mom's. But I don't need one for myself
Television is from a used stuff market, 25 euros, from my pocket.
Conclusion: I work for my stuff
But yeah, any suggestions on what to ask?
Few stuff I though about:
-Used computer by somebody I know really well. (and trust
) 150 euro for a computer that's overkill in comparisment to my old one, dunno what gpu, but it has 512MB ram, it's just way better. Don't know anything about the cpu. (except that it has hyperthreading) 2GB ram, and I will use it for dual monitors, it's more up to date. And cheap
-Still.... the iPod touch 4g
-iPad, might be too expensive though, but I'm pretty sure I can work that out with my dad (If I would ask it from my dad alone, I think he would say no
, but I might make a deal with my sisters, and mom... for iPad)
-New(er) computer, dunno?
-Laptop (preferably not, they're somewhat overpriced for what they can do in comparison with desktops)
Laptop and computer HAS TO BE WINDOWS. And maximum 500, no more, no less, euros. (that goes for everything else too I guess..)
Edit: Dingoo is a nono, don't need it, and parents too scared to import. Of course I can change their mind and stuff... But Imo it's not worth it. Don't try to persuade me into getting one
(really, don't, I hate useless posts :/)
NONO list:
Xbox 360
PS3
Dingoo
Please, PLEASE don't post extremely boring posts like chaz and bob('s second post)

I once lost it, found it back ~8 months later. Plugged in my earbuds, Worked, music was there immediately
