Ok a While ago back in like april i checked my wii's serial number to see the possibility of having a D3 drive and i had a 100% chance (I believe, im not sure but it was pretty high like 90% high) so i gave up trying to play burned games and bought a hard drive and sd geecko to run sd - boot eventually i learned i cant play luigis mansion. Today i got a bunch of blank dvd-r's so i made a multi disc with luigis mansion and a couple of other games and put the disc into to my wii and turned on the gc backup launcher 0.2. The screen was normal then went black and white and very jittery i managed to navigate to luigis mansion and pushed y for NTSC to see if it would boot and suprisingly it did. i played all the way up to get the key to enter the door and stopped to ask why did my wii play this if it cant play burned games...and is there a way to make the game in color?

The game in black/grey/white is due to a video output problem.

But you didn't put enough info...
What version of the game is it?
NTSC or PAL?

What region is your wii?
NTSC or PAL?

What version CMIOS do you have?

idk, but including those information would help the answerer find the correct cause.
As for my advice, try to tinker with the region forcing, or use a different gc backup loader [neogammer or gecko os].
Personally, gc backup launcher 0.2 doesn't launch my games, but gecko os does.

"why did my wii play this if it cant play burned games"
your wii IS playing it - therefore you have lucked out, and can play backups.

The rest of the matter is just a case of getting your cMIOS sorted and a launcher. I recommend Neogamma which is regularly maintained by Wiipower, see here:

Also, (as bootyhole mentioned) its one thing to get your wii reading and playing backups - its another issue to get your display correct. Check you have correct region and that your tv / monitor is capable of playback for that.
