[M]artin, I really hope when you get that first bump, you're just parking, not speeding.
I've got one friend who clipped wing-mirrors (side-view?) with someone else, both doing around sixty mph (he got fined and points for driving without due care and attention).
And another who rolled his car into a field on a sharp turn, with four passengers (declared the car scrap to the insurers, and had to pay the farmer whose fence he destroyed).
Both blindingly lucky not to have killed anyone, least of all themselves, but with the roads round here (mountains) you generally get a young driver every couple of months who becomes one with their car, for as long as it takes the fire-brigade to cut the body from the wreckage.
I don't mind so much when it's just a tree, or an unwieldy corner, but as often as not it's some unlucky bastard going the other way.
It's great that you can die doing what you love. It really is. Try not to take anyone with you.
