Hacking I can't launch my cartridge games while in CFW!

Hey guys, i'm dealing with an annoying problem with my Sysnand OFW, i used to use the original system to play my cartridges, but for some reason the battery is EXTREMELY out of sync. Meanwhile on my emuNAND Incognito it's perfectly synchronized, so I decided to play my cartridges there (Atmosphere Incognito)... but as soon as I select the game it asks for an update and obviously I can't download it.

I've disabled nogc and nothing changes. Can I download the NSP updates and install them via DBI? And another question, can I migrate my saves from emuNAND via checkpint to SysNAND?

Are sysNAND and emuNAND on different (major) versions by chance? When they are, the cartridge slot won't work when in emuNAND. Fix is to make sure sys and emuNAND are on the same version.

Installing the updates through DBI is the way to go (in emuNAND), yes

Migrating saves back to sysnand should be safe (as long as the saves are legitimate and not tampered with). Just make sure that you do not install anything through NSP/XCI/anything not downloaded using the eShop and you shouldn't get flagged for a ban.

Hmm some people say that themes and cheats on offline games don't get you banned, now I'm confused... What's the best way to use SysNand CFW without risk? I'd also like to use some homebrews, but nothing related to piracy/tinfoil.

It is always best to just avoid CFW usage on Sysnand in general as you always risk a ban. I know personally I only use cfw on Sysnand to rip my games and then do everything else on Emunand. This way you can download the latest updates to rip and later install on Emunand

Hmm, do you know how to solve the battery desync in SysNand OFW? In CFW the battery drains normally with normal percentages, in SysNand it just sometimes alerts with 41, 25 and turns off the console, it's very inconsistent...

I did recharge cycles in SysNand and it didn't fix it, now I'm doing my second cycle from 0% to 100% in SysNand CFW, will it solve it?

I just wanted to play my originals on the original system and pirates on incognito, but this Desync is really getting in the way when I play away from home :|

As long as you do not insall anything outside of the eShop (i.e. the only legal way to install content) or cheat in online games or install themes to sysNAND you should be good to go. (When using CFW like this you still run the risk of getting banned, but the chance of that happening is close to 0%.) If you really are worried about getting banned you should play your legitimate titles in OFW sysNAND and do everything else in emuNAND. This way you can be 100% sure your sysNAND won't get dirty. (That's what I've been doing for legitimate content and my sysNAND has yet to be banned.)

I think that this little piece of homebrew might be the solution for your desync issues.

I've already used this app on Emunand and SysNand CFW, and it helped and solved them! But in OFW it doesn't work at all, and that's where I play my cartridges and MH Generations

If you alter something in sysNAND CFW that change will show in sysNAND OFW too. sysNAND CFW just boots sysNAND to CFW, it's not seperated/unlinked from sysNAND OFW. (That's the reason why you shouldn't install anything to sysNAND CFW, the next time OFW would ping back you'd get struck by the mighty banhammer. Nintendo can see what you do to sysNAND, and they will act on the things they see.)

Edit: I am 99% sure that your battery levels would be the same in sysNAND OFW and CFW, if it is different that is always when using emuNAND.

That is… unless you have another Switch nearby with the desired updates. Then local version matching the preferred (and official, in fact) way to go. Updating games this way works even on OFW, with a banned Switch.

I managed to solve the issue of the out-of-sync battery, I calibrated it using SysNand CFW and now everything is working. Thank you all for your help!
