Hacking I cant get my switch to go into rcm mode anymore

I was able to get into rcm mode at first and I updated my switch to 8.1.0 and now I cant seem to get into the rcm mode at all

firmware updates don't block RCM mode. If the unit was capable of RCM once, it's always capable of RCM hence forth.

have you atleast tried holding the power button for 15 seconds and after that pushing the power button plus volume up button for a second.

Can you check your jig? The pins sometimes get misaligned. I have 5 jigs and only one of them works... rarely. Thankfully autoRCM is a thing that could be done quickly.

How did you set up auto rcm?

If you have autorcm enabled the update usually removes it if you did it officially, you just need to enable it again.

Like I dont get it I was able to get my switch in rcm mode easily and I have been trying for the past 3 hours with different jigs and It doesnt want to work

It seems like you've broken your joycon rail pins of you've tried multiple jigs already and it still won't work.

I used to use paper clips, staples, and screwdrivers as "jigs." But it was getting harder and harder for me to "hit the right spot" and enter RCM mode. Now I use a jig that came with my RCMLoader One. It works great, but when I first bought it I had to use a needle to lift up one of the pins on it.

If your pins are broke, you can replace the joycon rail. They're pretty cheap to buy online, and as long as you have the right screwdrivers it's pretty easy to replace.

Backlight should not come on at all until a payload is sent.

Maybe your jig is faulty.

I have the same issue. If I try and enter RCM nothing happens and then when I try to start the Switch normally it takes up to 10 seconds before the Nintendo logo appears. Any1 else with this issue?

Solved... my USB port stopped working.

put switch to dock and hold 15 power button, thats should work.

This exact same issue happened to me. Make sure you have the latest sigpatches installed. I forgot to put the sigpatches on my SD and it wouldn't connect to my WIFI. Once i put the sigpatches on everything was working fine!
