I've been trying to use my mom's old Toshiba Satellite as a temporary replacement for my laptop that broke a month or two ago, but one issue I've been having is that I can't connect to the internet whatsoever. I thought it was because I still had the drivers from my other laptop installed, so I tried deleting them and installing the A200's LAN and Wi-Fi card drivers, but both have done absolutely nothing, and I don't know what else to do now.
I would try re-installing the OS, but I don't wanna loose my stuff, and I can't really back anything up since we don't have an external hard drive with enough room on it to back up my junk.
Any suggestions or am I screwed?

reinstall windows but don't format the drive. Everything goes to a Windows.old folder.
