Actually when I bought my 3DS, it gave me hours of painful eye strain.
I always had 3D off, and I think it screwed my eyes up a little cause I got astigmatism on my right eye and I can't handle cinema 3D anymore.

I can do LO Zelda OoT full 3D no problem at all but I can't do Pilot Wings on full I have to adjust it as even the slightest movement of the console in full 3D makes it impossible to see where I'm supposed to be going.
It may sound daft but I do think some titles execute the 3D better than others, the pokedex for example is brilliant at it where as that little free motorbike one is awful at it, pulls the eyes right out their sockets that title does.

The only time the 3DS ever gave me eyestrain or a headache or whatever was the first time I played it at a display in a best buy. Since then though I've had no problems, I played OOT 3D all the way through with the 3D on the highest setting the entire time. I don't turn the 3D off for anything actually.

My kid plays all his content at full 3D too and it has in no way affected him.
