The plan is to dl the latest firmware and put it on the root of the microsd right? And use a ds to update it on.

Well I've tried that, and I also tried putting the .dat file on the _dstwo folder. I've also tried updating on the XL.

I'm thinking its the imenu plugin i use. The first time i updated the dstwo successfully, it booted with the original pink screen and updated fine. Sometime after that I put the imenu plugin as the boot screen.

I'd try to go back to its original boot menu but I don't know how to change it without possibly ruining the card altogether.

Help me?

If you followed the iMenu setup guide you should have an icon that will take you to the plugin menu, and then the dialog asking for you to update should pop up.

If that doesn't work, you could try loading directly into the plugin menu (hold L+R while entering the DSTWO, then select "DSTwo Plugin Menu", it should be option 5).

Btw, it should be "dstwoupdate.dat" and has to be in the root.
